Was it the night of interloping images inveigling into seeing nothing but the phantom of reality,
Was it the moon, masking this dark confusion robbing lucidity, this magnetic satellite attracting sanity
Or was it the father figure, shadowy and argentine with beady eyes, a sleepless crow ruling the roost?
Whatever it may have been it proved that the sky doesn't embrace only divinity and doesn't claim only saints.
Sometimes, like on that night, it even allows the lord of abnormity to shape the world accordingly,
And it's not magic, nor a diabolic coincidence that a bunch of pioneers disappeared during its invisible storm.
There are trees in the wilderness, struck by lightning that if you dare to look carefully at their interlacing branches
You will find them tilting at mills reminiscent of pillars of salt, facing the outlying city lights…
written in 2002, edited almost unrecognizably yesterday, included in ezine "wanderingdog" back in 2002, don't know what happened to this ezine, was pretty cool.

This may be how you say Armageddon in Greek with an elastic tongue, or is it just the shadows that define the grace of God? The cosmic tone is conditioned by that contemporary cinematic image of "the outlying city lights" which suggests the crossroads of the blues or the fading scenes of a film noir. In either case, good and evil are drawn together. Your use of the negative is the most inventive I've ever seen and forms a slide into your mind. The battleground is only suggested, however, as if a warning is being posted for all those concerned with the triumph of divinity.

I like this a lot Nicoletta, a few things came to mind:
inveigling into - nice, but a phonetic mouthful possibly that robbed lucidity - tense is repeated (Was should be good enough) and unnecessary (I think) --> robbing lucidity reminding - maybe 'reminiscent'
all in all though a great read ... enjoyed this.
