this town got its name some three-hundred years ago. i would think it did not get it in one day. fisherman would row out to sea in a mild light, cast their nets return to shore to a meal of fish and bread siesta in their bed, row back to the nets now brimming with fish. back to the shore to the chapel of thanks caps in their hands, then to their wives in tidy huts to sit outdoors munching nuts sipping wine relating tales of mystery shadows to a night sky flooded in stars.
sliema...peace is now the name of the town.
i suppose it was a name that came easy in an age of no electricity and no tv

My daily Dunstan fix... Nice flowing journey in this and the ending two strophes straighten the reader's spine making him sit up and say, yep, right on, ain't it true. Great read brother D, thanks!
