Modern Tiresias
He started saying too much again, But Athena can’t be arsed to blind him this time. He may connect the dots, no deity cares anymore; Align his poetry with the centre of our universe, Talk about the days Aphrodite breastfed him. Nothing pseudo about him, after all, There are worse cases, there are others Who claim they descend from the bloodline Of Jesus Christ and let’s not forget The new millennium's Aglaya, or That lost in translation joker, Artisus.

I love this Nicoletta, it is a time capsule where the observer flits over ancient and contemporary history, lifting pieces from each, melding and enhancing without prejudice, using patios with panache - damn fine piece...

Hi Ivan, thanks you very much! (Do you mean ratios? Sorry for my ignorance if it's an expression!)

I meant modern (or colloquial) expressions used to contrast classical reference. You use them with irreverent ease - "Athena can’t be arsed to blind..." inserted quite appropriately where it is absolutely the case. You are not the only poet here to do this. Dave Besseling has a fabulous example in CHENNAI. I am fascinated with this skillset; it connects past with present in a way we take for granted...
