“Memories Glitter”
Memories glitter from far away The twinkles of the stars mourn tonight Oh, bring them back only for one day
The days of childhood adorned with clay That bluest sky with one flying kite Memories glitter from far away
The dance of the white swans on their way Those pine trees under the same sunlight Oh, bring them back only for one day
Dust on the staircase now pale and gray Shades of green from that lantern so bright Memories glitter from far away
Those wasted years still desire to stay Every moment wants to hold them tight Oh, bring them back only for one day
The bygone days can never say nay Those joyful times are now out of sight Memories glitter from far away Oh, bring them back only for one day

I prefer free verse but your structure and writing skills can't be denied in this fine piece. Congratulations.

Welcome to 'The Ink Blot' Munia. I thought I recognised your name! We do already share a bit of prior poetic contact through other poetry sites. Regards, Ivan
