silly me
i’m a pack rat.
i save everything.
i must have at least 250 pens saved (just in case...).
i’ve got bits and pieces of cable wire and connectors.
curtain rods from windows in an old apartment.
dried flowers, bricks, bits of boards.
i’ve even got tacked up on the wall right in front of me now a veterinary appointment card from a dog that died two years ago.
god, i loved that dog.

this was interesting john, as the poem develops it picks through the residual of seemly unimportant little things in life, revealing their significance, a great read as always.

this tiny little poem was always one of my favourites...or, maybe it's because it was about a dog who was one of my favorites. thanks. john
