"write a poem about THAT..."
she said,
sitting on the edge of the bed,
smiling.

This of course John just a small sample of your wit, the beauty lying in the fact that the reader is able to personalize (or customize) a scenario without losing the intent. I think in a lot of ways this short delivery is the 'Diabolus of Yamrus', a unique component that seems to permeate most of your works. As always, of high quality and very much enjoyed by this poet. I will be commenting more on your poetry later ... still trying to iron the quirks in this forum.

"write a poem about THAT..." she said, sitting on the edge of the bed, smiling. Hi John I am the newbie to the site today and this is my first comment to a piece on the forum. I must say that I am enamored by the complex simplicity of this piece. "on the edge" oh yes I was, reading this. "smiling" definitely... and my mind was traveling to many places having the visions of N's mind wanderings, the view from his eyes, and thinking along with him in the construction of his first stanza. Wonderful and entertaining writing kind sir. Enjoyed! Smiles! Bobby
