GMT + 1 Europe France Île-de-France 48 52 00 N 002 20 00 E . PARIS . Church of Our Lady of ripped and eaten bible pages, I bid your reign a good night. Your business now is oratory touts, pontiff laminates, plastic rosaries and snowglobes. Your daily bread euros, yen, pounds sterling, rimbimbi - in coins or in notes. . Palsy lemmings lurch arthritic roundabout your perennial stain-glass sneer. Lourdes is that’a’way, chaps. I heard they’ve got even nicer gear. I’d take off my hat were this still a church and not a phagocyte. (The pappy don't care for phags.) . Someone’s forgotten my favourite bible story here, the true faith in ceasefire to bolster capital cheer. You know the one I’m sure, the one where God-boy lays waste the macrophage, the money lenders being born and raised by fate to bear the brunt of his burdened rage. An iconoclast true to his word, to herald not peace but to bring the sword. . The only shouting here now is juste au bord du rive, -getcher Falafels here, madam. Welcome sir. Please. Where they assume the more they tell you of what’s written on their signboards will enduce gastrointestinal reprieve from the streets seduced: . Konnichiwa Ni Hao Annyeonghaseyo, even a Sawadee, (I was there with an Asian girl, you see.) . Covering all the Oriental greeting bases my friend, mais tant pis. Your authentic Parisian Kebab isn’t for me. My lady neither. What a poor substitute for culture. A thumbed front tooth to the sacrosanct altar. .
