Don, there is such an extraordinary consistency in these renderings, I think you are on a roll with these ... keep them coming.

I chnaged the poem (in the original drawing) using the word "notice" instead of "declare."

the line that worked for me was:
the game. You know when your number comes up
I never know whether these are intentional but again adds another dimension ...
'declare' is much stronger for the vehicle and has little impact on the overall tenor so I would say good choice ... this and recent 'posters' would make an excellent little collection in a small 8vo (assuming the text was still distinguishable)

Who will publish such a book? The words crash onto the floor resoundingly.

if I was a publisher (and I'm not) ... I would, probably the biggest misconception out there is that the poet or poetry has anything to do with purity in grammar, scansion, meter or the use of metaphors etc ... in fact many techniques are dated by contemporary standards, even metaphors are dead ... yikes (another playground lost), in the contemporary view it is more important to understand how poetry is read, to become a connoisseur, be able to adapt to a variety of technique ... words that crash onto the floor resoundingly is actually desirable

Crash away Don if this is crashing. Another outstanding poem and drawing my friend. It evokes an emotional response and that's what it's all about. Brava sir!

thanks bobby. The question of who will publish is the equivalent of the old question posed by the mice. "Who will tie the bell around the cat's neck?"
