We sat together on her bed she said, pull out your eyes, they are too blue, like the sky only the rain can make me wet. I said I would.
We planted flowers in the garden she said, cut off your legs, you are too tall standing there your shadow keeps my blooms in shade. I said I would.
We built a beautiful brick sidewalk she said, cut off your fingers, they are too long and sharp there is a certain way I like to be touched. I said I would.
I finally told her that I loved her she said, that is really nice, I have always wanted a man, someone to take care of. Have you pulled out your eyes yet?

this was great Bobby, I like the way it teeters on a humorous edge as it unfolds, it toys with the reader til the very end. Excellent read.

Ohhhhh *ouch* - there's a brutally wry humour to this. It is darkly convincing and the reader has to shake herself and pray to goddess that she isn't ever like that ... on either side!

Hi Bernie and Shell
Glad you enjoyed this over exageration of my take on the way too over controlling "better half". For some, nothing is ever good enough... that was my intended capture here.
Smiles! Bobby

Oh, Man! That is brutal and oh too true... a wonderful man's perspective. It's told with such love and care... and the ending is a slayer. Very sad... AND funny.
